Quentin Evrard s’intéresse tôt à la photographie au contact de son père, le photographe Dominique Evrard, qu’il assiste quelques années après avoir étudié aux Beaux Arts d’Angers et à The City and Guilds Art School à Londres. Il se forme aussi aux côtés de Franck Bordas au Studio Bordas pour apprendre l’impression jet d’encre pigmentaire
Depuis 2002 il poursuit un travail personnel photographique sur la couleur, les formes et les ombres et réalise ses tirages pigmentaires.
Sous le pseudonyme Vladimir Klinkowski, il développe des projets liés à la musique. Il réalise des clips avec Baptiste Evrard, monteur, sous le nom Klinkowski Frères
Il fonde le Studio Pigments en 2010, studio de tirage jet d’encre pigmentaire, où il travaille avec des photographes, illustrateurs, peintres, auteurs.
Il vit et travaille à Paris.

Quentin Evrard is a photographer and director
He early interest in photography in contact with his father, photographer Dominique Evrard he assists few years after studying Fine Arts at Les Beaux Arts d’Angers and The City and Guilds London Art School
He was Franck Bordas’ assistant at Studio Bordas to learn digital pigment printing in 2007
Since 2002 he started a photographic work involving color, shapes and shadows. He takes care of his digital pigment printing.
Under the alias Vladimir Klinkowski he develops projects related to music and video. He shoots and directs music videos and videos in the art field, with his brother Baptiste Evrard, editor, under the name Klinkowski Frères
He founds Studio Pigments in 2010, a digital pigment printing studio where he works with artists.
He lives and works in Paris

Slowness of the analog photography shooting, which i’m very attached to, is a salutary advantage. After numerising my ektachromes, computer work process gives me a great pecision before pigment printing.
Painting left its mark on me. My visual and technical learning actually started from it. I like these colorful shadows from geometrical surfaces, vibrating tint areas which move me so much in the Fauve painting.
Bright color first stops and attracts me, i get around and built slowly a propicious architecture to mix colours or shades. No fusion though but obviously different textures and shades that respond to eachothers. Pigments found in the ink i use express this will of putting my photography in this colorist problematic. The paper used comes from the same manufacturers of etching and lithography.
Through the ways i walk in the cities i make the most of the morning and the so special sunset light. I try, seperating a part of these granular walls, to create a strong picture, strengthened its lines and colors. An almost abstract image where the viewer loses at the first look the sense of reality. The photograph establishes itself as a canvas.
